Description

Circa 1849. Considered one of the city's fifty most famous homes, this Italianesque mansion is known as "The Pink Palace." The hosts of this highly acclaimed bed & breakfast are third-generation owners. Incredible views of the Charleston Harbour and historic Fort Sumter are easily enjoyed throughout the home. Gather in the elegant drawing room, or sit on one of the covered front porches. Romantic guest bedrooms in the main house feature even more spectacular views from the third floor. A separate carriage house is also available. Take a relaxing swim in the pool. Weddings in the splendid garden or on the piazza are popular here.

Italian Room

This cozy room is located on the third floor of the house and has a view of the Charleston Harbor through an Oak tree just to the left of our house. A beautiful Queen four-poster canopy bed, a decorative black African-marble fireplace, and a spacious bath give this room a romantic feel. This room does not walk onto the third floor piazza, but you do still have access to both piazzas.

King (Dr. Joe's Room)

The King Room is very large and has a bath with shower only. This room also features a nonworking fireplace of Black African Marble and a strata of gold.

Suite

Very large room with beautiful Queen antique bedset. Audubon prints over sofa in large living room. Large bathroom has an antique clawfoot tub and shower.

Front Room

This Queen bed was built in 1850. It is signed and dated by the carpenter. With the best view of the harbor this room is very large and has an adjoining bay window room with a double bed. The private bathroom, located five steps across a private hall, is very large (bath tub and shower).

Both Carriage House bedrooms overlook the swimming pool and harbour.
