Description

Circa 1886. Four historic buildings in a village-like setting comprise this inn: The 1886 Main House Southern mansion, The Carriage House, The Garden Cottage and two-story Retreat on Main. One especially bountiful cotton crop paid for the construction of the Main House mansion. The inn was named in honor of the A.P. Breeden family who lived in the home for 54 years. The interior of each house features many interesting and varied architectural details. Suites and guest bedrooms delight with exquisite linens, antiques, collectibles, needlework and art. A satisfying morning meal is served in the dining room, breakfast parlor, music parlor, library parlor or on the veranda. Porch swings, rockers and ceiling fans are inviting while overlooking the backyard wildlife habitat with woodland and garden walks.
