Description

Circa 1843. Just outside the door of this antebellum house, guests can enjoy the serenity of a Charleston garden. And outside the wrought iron gates lies White Point Gardens, the Battery and Charleston Harbor, enticing guests to romantic moonlight walks and sultry daytime strolls in one of Charleston's most beautiful locations. Guest rooms are in both the Carriage House and in the ground floor of the Stephen Lathers House, a private residence. Renovations in many rooms have preserved the charm of the past while increasing amenities, that add to the inn's romantic atmosphere. Silver Tray Continental Breakfast service is provided and evening turndown adds to the pampering, as well. The inn was featured in the filming of "North and South" and the interior rooms have been filmed for "Queen." In the afternoon, visitors often enjoy a glass of wine in the gardens.
