Description
Circa 1879. Guests first traveled up the long road to the Atlantic Inn to enjoy its more than two acres of grassy slopes, which overlook the ocean and Old Harbor Village. Today, guests will experience much of the charm that lured vacationers to this island spot during the Victorian era. The inn's 21 guest rooms are individually appointed with antiques and period furnishings. Inn guests enjoy use of two tennis courts, a formal croquet court, a swing and gym set for children as well as a playhouse, which is a replica of the inn. Take a leisurely stroll around the landscaped grounds and enjoy the gardens, which provide many of the herbs and vegetables used in meals at the inn's gourmet restaurant. President and Mrs. Clinton recently dined here.
