Description
Circa 1889. Located in the University City section, this red-brick Queen Anne Victorian has three stories and offers off-street parking. Chestnut and cherry woodwork, a grand entry hall and sitting rooms furnished with antiques make this a popular site. A wraparound porch overlooks the inn's gardens of perennials, roses, dogwood and Japanese cherry and magnolia trees. The Christmas Room has mahogany antiques and a queen four-poster bed, while the Tower Room has a working fireplace and a settee tucked into the turret. Another room offers a soaking tub and sun porch. This inn received Philadelphia Magazine's four-heart award and the "Best of Philly 1996" award as an urban getaway.
This property has been featured in Philadelphia, Victorian Homes, WGBH Documentary. Location: City/Urban.
