The Doubleday Inn

Description

Circa 1929. This Colonial Inn is situated directly on the Gettysburg Battlefield. From its wooded grounds, flower gardens and patios, guests enjoy panoramic views of historic Gettysburg and the National Military Park. The innkeepers have a significant collection of Civil War relics and books on hand, and on selected evenings they feature presentations with battlefield historians. Rooms are furnished with antiques and decorated in English-country style. A full, country-style breakfast is served each morning, and the innkeepers offer a selection of teas in the afternoon.

Robert E. Lee

Newly remodeled and features a completely enclosed private bath. Located on the ground floor, also features a dramatic portrait over the antique four-poster Queen-size bed and handsome built-in book shelves with an impressive collection of Civil War titles. Enjoy the westward facing sunset and Battlefield views. Can comfortably sleep 3 with the addition of a futon. Rate quoted is for double occupancy. Each additional person in room $20/night.

Cutler

Second floor guest room done in a muted floral motif. The Cutler Room enjoys one of the largest bathrooms in the house (en-suite) as well as a beautiful hand-painted Queen-size bed.

Sallie

This cozy room with a double bed and westward facing Battlefield views is ideal for budget-conscious travelers, those traveling solo or those staying with larger groups. The Sallie Room is the smallest guest room and still provides plenty of charm and comfort. Your private bath is just across the hall and you enjoy easy access to our large second floor deck.

O'Neal

This small & cozy second floor guest room has country décor of blue and white. Beautiful bay window. This room also features an antique double bed with en-suite private bath (this bathroom has a shower stall only, no tub).

Ramseur

This handsome second floor guest room has English country décor, abounds with hardwood floors, a hand-painted antique double bed and en-suite private bath.
