Description
Circa 1812. The quiet and private setting on the edge of the Gettysburg Battlefield, this brick country manor was used as a hospital during the Civil War. Additions were added in 1830 and 1977, and the inn has been completely restored. Guests can snuggle up with a book in their comfortable rooms or in the great room, which includes a fireplace. Some guest rooms include a private patio or a fireplace. The spacious grounds offer gardens, a gazebo, a tennis court and terraces. Guided tours of the battlefield can be arranged, and guests also can plan a horseback riding excursion on the battlefield.
