Circa 1875. The Telegraph House Bed & Breakfast is a Heritage Landmark, historic two-story yellow brick Victorian adorning the north shore of Lake Erie in Port Stanley Ontario. Built in l875 on an older footprint of Colonel Bostwick's original house, double foundation walls, 4 feet apart. First telegraph machine in the village located on second floor landing that was installed as an early weather/warning system for boats crossing Lake Erie. Historic Awards: Local Register (Granted) and Recognized by Ontario Heritage Trust for renovations. Historic Memberships: Doors Open Ontario. Quiet getaway on the harbor in small fishing village. Watch the sailboats leave the harbor from side porch in the summer. Both beaches are within walking distance from the house for long walks after supper and theater or lazy afternoons.
