Room DetailElizabeth's Secluded in a private wing in the quiet of the third floor, the Attic is the largest room in the Inn. At the foot of the King bed are a lovely marble fireplace and cozy chaise lounge for reading and napping. Skylights, window seat and unobstructed views of the gardens and mountains add to the charm. The Attic's private bath offers a modern double garden soaking tub and huge walk-in shower. This is the perfect honeymoon location. Rates: $190 - $200 Type of bed: King Garrett Brightly lit with skylights and lots of windows, the Garrett is located up in the quiet of the Inn's third floor. The romantically draped King bed faces a large fireplace, framed by a cozy love seat (which opens to reveal a twin-size bed), old fashioned dressing table and antique armoire. The spacious private bath has both an old-time clawfoot tub and convenient step-in shower. An ideal location for a couple's retreat. Rates: $165 - $175 Type of bed: King, Twin Blue Ridge One of only three rooms located on the third floor, the Blue Ridge room is both private and peaceful. Newly redecorated with its huge King bed dressed in sumptuous deep white comforters and piled with pillows, it is banked by five windows draped in blue and grey toile. It is the perfect spot for quiet rest, conversation and relaxation with an inviting fireplace faced by two cozy chairs . The large private bath has a separate commode and step-in shower, and best of all, a platform whirlpool tub for soaking. Rates: $165 - $175 Type of bed: King Anniversary The Anniversary room, located on the second floor, is convenient to the parlor via the formal staircase. As romantic as its name implies, this front corner bedroom has a lovely four-poster wrought-iron Queen bed draped in airy fabric. The antique footed bathtub next to the bed is placed on a curtained platform. Also adjacent is the private bath and separate tiled shower. Rates: $135 - $145 Type of bed: Queen Savannah Savannah, just upstairs from the formal parlor on the second floor, is one of the largest bedrooms in the Inn. The gauze-draped King bed is opposite a large marble fireplace, with one of the house's original carved mantles still intact. Next to the hearth is a cozy chaise lounge. In view of both the bed and fireplace is an antique clawfoot tub, also original to the house. Savannah's private bath includes a tiled step-in shower. Rates: $165 - $175 Type of bed: King Appalachian The Appalachian room is at the top of the front formal staircase on the second floor. Furnished with a pair of Queen beds and comfy reading chair, the spacious cheerful bedroom has an attached private bath with traditional tub/shower combination. Located at the front corner of the house, its windows offer a view of both the Inn's gardens and the peaceful little town of Black Mountain. Rates: $140 - $150 Type of bed: (2) , Queen Three Mountaineers Three Mountaineers, so named for the wooden hand-carved mountain men marching across its bedroom walls, is centrally located on the second floor of the Inn. The spacious well-furnished bedroom has a King bed, cozy reading chair and attached private bath. The large bathroom contains a whirlpool tub/shower combination. Rates: $150 - $160 Type of bed: King Tarheel The Tarheel room, decorated with local quilts and homespun charm, is privately located in the back corner of the second floor of the Inn. The Queen bed sits across from a cozy chaise lounge perfect for napping and reading. The spacious private bath has a whirlpool tub/shower combination. Rates: $135 - $145 Type of bed: Queen Dogwood The Dogwood room, just up the staircase on the second floor, is convenient to all sections of the Inn. The bright and cheerful bedroom has a Queen bed and an adjoining private bath, unusually large and old fashioned, complete with a combination clawfoot tub/shower, raised-tank toilet and old fashioned vanity with chair. Rates: $135 - $145 Type of bed: Queen Azalea Placed in the quiet rear of the Inn on the second floor, the very spacious Azalea holds a lovely antique dressing table and matching headboard for the Queen bed. Its adjoining alcove with a large bank of windows has both a well-lighted desk and reading couch, which opens to reveal a twin-size bed. The roomy attached private bath contains a tiled tub/shower. Azalea can be linked to Pisgah through the adjoining closet doors. Rates: $135 - $145 Type of bed: Queen, Twin Pinehurst As the name implies, the elegant Pinehurst room on the second floor is decorated with a golf theme. The spacious bedroom has a wonderful King bed and a roomy private bath with traditional tub/shower combination. Lots of windows for light and a soft reading chair add to the comfort of this room. Rates: $145 - $155 Type of bed: King Primrose Primrose room, quietly hidden at the end of the hallway on the second floor, is the most intimate and romantic room in the Inn. A seductively draped two-person whirlpool tub is set adjacent to the Queen bed. The private commode and pedestal sink complete the romantic setting. This is the perfect spot for getting reacquainted with your loved one. Rates: $135 - $145 Type of bed: Queen Pisgah Try a touch of the wild - North Carolina style! Located in a quiet corner of the second floor, Pisgah room is a cozy spot with elevated double bed, antique dresser and comfortable reading chair. Attached is a private bath complete with tub/shower. For families traveling together, Pisgah can be linked to the Azalea room through adjoining closet doors. Rates: $105 - $115 Type of bed: Double Music The Music room is conveniently located on the first floor. As its name implies, the bedroom is decorated with theme wallpaper, musical accents and instruments, and a classical music motif. The King bed, softly draped in coordinating fabric, is adjacent to the pedestal vanity sink and a private bath with step-in shower. Rates: $125 - $135 Type of bed: King Molly Bear Located in the rear of the Inn on the first floor, Molly Bear is quiet and yet convenient to the parking lot and public areas of the house. The Queen bed is softly draped and adjacent to a well-lighted alcove. Here, beneath a large bank of windows, are both a love seat for reading (which opens to a twin-size bed) and a handy built-in desk. The attached private bath has a tiled tub/shower. Molly Bear can be linked to Seven Sisters through adjoining closet doors for larger families traveling together. Rates: $135 - $145 Type of bed: Queen, Twin Preacher's Highlighted with stained-glass windows and other church accents, the Preacher room is on the first floor in a quiet corner of the Inn. In the spacious bedroom, the mission-style Queen bed and soft reading chair are adjacent to a private bath lovingly called the confessional; within are a step-in shower and old fashion corner sink. Rates: $120 - $130 Type of bed: Queen Seven Named for the mountain range visible from the town of Black Mountain, Seven Sisters is situated conveniently at the rear corner of the first floor, near the parking area. It is a comfy room with a charming brass double bed and an old fashion rocking chair for reading. Attached is a private bath complete with tub/shower.
