Circa 1903. Open year-round, this Queen Anne Victorian B&B is located near Lake Gaston and Kerr Lake. It is an easy stroll to quaint downtown shops and an old-fashioned drug store and soda fountain. The one-acre grounds include an English-style box garden with sitting area and fountain. Pat’s Porch has inviting rockers and wicker chairs. Evening social hour with appetizers and beverages is hosted in Carter Williams Parlour with a vintage grand piano. Named after the ladies who have lived here, guest bedrooms feature heart pine floors, antiques and Waverly window and bed treatments. Stay in a room with a Jacuzzi and canopy bed or a clawfoot tub and brass bed. The Ivy Suite adjoins two rooms with a connecting bathroom. An incredible three-course candlelit breakfast is served in the Nannie Tarwater Dining Room.
