DescriptionCirca 1796. Built as a two-story farmhouse in 1796, it was converted to a three-story inn in 1819 to service the stagecoach run. Meticulously restored, this Colonial/Federal inn with a country décor sits on two acres with a stream in the backyard. Located halfway between Rochester and Syracuse, it is the perfect place to stay while visiting the Finger Lakes. Gather for conversation in the living room. Decanters of locally made sherry and port are on the sideboard in the dining room for a nightcap. Guest suites are all on the first floor. The Rose Room opens out onto the deck. After a hearty breakfast take a driving tour of the lighthouses along Lake Ontario, fish or go wine tasting at nearby vineyards. This property has been featured in Food Network's All American Festivals. Location: Country.
