Description

Circa 1812. A luxurious Victorian estate on 46 acres of peaceful countryside, this inn offers elegance and comfort. Fireplaces, floor to ceiling windows, museum-quality furnishings, stained glass, and wide plank floors are delightful features found in both common and private areas. The guest bedrooms boast French doors leading to balconies that overlook landscaped gardens, fountains and a tennis court, or have a private entrance with an ivy-covered archway. Candlelight and soft music accentuate a lavish gourmet breakfast served in the formal dining room, intimate tea room or glass-enclosed stone porch. Afternoon tea and appetizers are welcome treats.

Location: Country.

Inkeepers Notes

Playwrite/actor Judson Morgan from Famous "Canadian Morgans" fell in love with this beautiful 1810 mansion and selected it as his upstate New York Farm hideaway. Later, industrialist, Johnson Administration official and New York governor hopeful Howard Samuels and his wife, Bobbie, raised their family in this gracious mansion. Today, hosts Brad and Connie Smith offer guests Victorian comfort and atmosphere at this magnificent estate. Located in the Finger Lakes between N.Y. City and Niagara Falls, the Morgan House offers ultimate tranquility for the discerning visitor. Your escape will prove to be the difference between ordinary and legendary.
