Description
Experience the refined elegance exuded at this recently renovated, historic mansion with striking details such as six fireplaces with massive mantelpieces, original brass and copper gas chandeliers with Waterford glass shades, etched-glass doors and parquet floors of three woods. It sits on four acres across from a clear spring-fed millpond and waterfalls, perfect for trout fishing, walks along the shore or a refreshing swim off a rope swing. Play the grand piano in the library and relax over a complimentary cocktail. After a restful night in a lavish guest bedroom, an incredible breakfast is served in the formal dining room, on the 60-foot-long Victorian porch overlooking the flowers and fountain or on the garden deck under the shade of a 200-year-old giant spruce tree. Transportation for pick-ups and drop-offs is available in a black Bentley.
This property has been featured in Victorian Homes (2003), Christmas Catalog "Chico's" (2003), "Out and About" WRGB news segment (spring 2004). Location: Country and Historic resort area. Inkeepers Notes

San Souci
Look out any of the front windows and view the millstream from this magnificent southern exposure room. Its 14-foot ceilings are perfect for the commanding mahogany King-size four-poster bed that the room features. An original bedroom of the Mansion, the walls are painted dark and rich to compliment the gold and silver tones of the bedding. One of the most interesting furniture pieces in the Mansion is the Victorian Empire-style mirrored triple armoire on the north wall of the room. As with all rooms the San Souci has a private bath, but this room also features a cast iron clawfoot tub and shower.

Guests love the opulence of the second-floor Canfield room. Painted cool Wedgwood blue, the Canfield is an original Mansion bedroom with 14-foot ceilings, private bath and an over-the-top King bed fit for royalty with matching dresser. This room, like the San Souci, faces the old mill and pond offering great windows with southern exposure. The Excelsior Room
On the east side of the 2nd floor of the Mansion, this very sunny, original bedroom room looks down on the fountain and gardens.
