Steven Crane wrote "The Red Badge of Courage" in a building on the original premises. Common rooms include the billiard and game rooms. The Inn's guest bedrooms feature working fireplaces and whirlpool baths. Manor House rooms are decorated with lacy linens, dried flowers, Persian rugs and period pieces. The estate also offers accommodations in the rustic Carriage House and Cottage where pets are welcome. Most include kitchens, cathedral ceilings, private sundecks, working fireplaces and whirlpools.
