Circa 1764. Adorning the banks of the Hudson River, this historic 70-acre estate was renovated and expanded then recently restored to retain its original charm and elegance as well as incorporate modern luxuries and conveniences. Chat over afternoon tea with pastries and appetizers. Stroll amidst the gorgeous landscape with gardens, ponds, streams and bridges. Each of the guest bedrooms and suites in the main house and three carriage houses feature air conditioning, a fireplace, high speed Internet, cable TV and a great view. Antiques, canopy beds, exposed stone walls, vintage quilts, private balconies, flagstone terraces, old master prints, skylights, whirlpools and clawfoot tubs are among the delights offered. Locally grown ingredients accent the gourmet breakfasts served daily. Schedule a massage, facial or other spa services available.

Our 70-acre estate has been carefully landscaped to preserve its natural beauty. Enjoy a spectacular view of the Hudson while savoring a gourmet breakfast or afternoon tea in our sun-dappled dining room. Ponds, streams, and waterfalls are crossed by wooden and stone bridges and home to swans, ducks, geese, and other wildlife. Spring and summer are truly magical at Buttermilk Falls Inn & Spa. Walk through a living Monet painting as you explore our garden, flowering terraces and discover fields, woods, and ponds decorated with wild flowers. Autumn is equally as spectacular and offers gorgeous fall foliage both on the estate and in the surrounding the Hudson Valley.

Policies	Minimum Stay Requirements: There is a two-night minimum on weekends and some holidays. Cancellation: Cancellation is required one week prior to check-in to avoid incurring a penalty charge. For cancellations made within the one-week period prior to check-in date, full charges will incur. If no cancellation is made and the guest does not check-in, the full reserved rate is charged. Cancellations must be received and acknowledged by a staff member. Pets: Pets Allowed, Pets are also only welcomed in the outer carriage houses and cottages. Smoking: Outside Only.
