Description
Circa 1860. Named for Abingdon Square, a nearby park, this distinctive Greenwich Village inn exudes an inviting residential ambiance. Two historic Federal red brick townhouses, circa 1846 and 1853, have been renovated to offer comfort and convenience. Exposed brick walls, decorative fireplaces and tin or beam ceilings are some of the original details that add to the character. The setting is perfect for a quiet getaway with friends or a romantic retreat in a smoke-free environment. Air-conditioned guest bedrooms are artistically decorated with bold colors and elegantly furnished with warmth and style. Amenities include comfy bathrobes, cable television, phone with answering machine, hair dryer, safe, iron and ironing board. The ground floor Brewbar Coffee is the inn’s popular café.
