Description
This adobe inn is the perfect beginning for spiritual renewal. The 6,000-square-foot house is located in a rift valley on a hill overlooking the Rio Grande Gorge. Featured on the Discovery Channel, it was built with recycled materials, 34 tons of Colorado sandstone and 28,000 pounds of dry cement so that it blends into its desert surroundings. The suites have separate sitting and sleeping areas and private patios bordered by terraced gardens. Breakfast is served in the round room with ponderosa pine and glass walls with a panoramic mountain view. Enjoy delightful dishes such as fresh fruit, organic chicken apple sausages, cheese artichoke omelettes and Texas pecan biscuits. Climb Mt. Wheeler, take a llama trek, raft the river or soak in the nearby hot springs. In the still of the evening, explore the wonder of the sky through a 16-inch telescope.
