Circa 1915. Surrounded by lush old farmland along the river at the edge of town in Taos, Casa Gallina spans three acres with organic vegetable and flower gardens and orchards. This luxurious artisan inn with three guest houses boasts antiques, art, furnishings, Saltillo tiles, textiles from New Mexico, Old Mexico and around the world and views of Taos Mountain. Leghorn Casita is a one-bedroom studio with Kiva fireplace. Two bedrooms with two baths and a country kitchen are available in Barred Rock Adobe and Bantam Roost is a one-bedroom, two-story adobe. A three-course breakfast featuring seasonal local organic ingredients is offered for an additional charge. Make reservations early for a massage as the schedule fills up fast. Taos Plaza is a five-minute drive.
