Circa 1869. The Victorian Lace Inn boasts a variety of different accommodations, all delightful, and all just steps from the Atlantic Ocean. The Inn, five doors from the beach, has spacious suites with fireplaces, restored pine floors, and floor-to-ceiling windows. Two of the three suites have ocean views. Cottage is a private hideaway with picket fence, porches, and flowers in its window boxes. The upstairs bedroom includes a fireplace, and the reading area has sliding doors to a private deck. There’s a large Jacuzzi in the bathroom. The Adrigole House with four two-bedroom units is one door from the beach. Each accommodation has a fully functioning kitchen, a living area with sleeper sofa, two bedrooms and a deck. This unit is ideal for families visiting Cape May. Guests may breakfast at the Victorian Lace Inn or they can enjoy a continental breakfast inside by their own fireplace or outside on the deck.

Room DetailLeitrim Suite
 The Leitrim Suite features a master bedroom with a fireplace, King size bed, and ocean view. The suite includes a living room with fireplace and ocean views, bath with stall shower and kitchenette.
A second bedroom with Eastlake furnishings and a double bed can be added to accommodate additional guests
Kerry Suite
 This beautiful two room suite includes a bedroom with a queen bed, fireplace, and Victorian walnut furniture.
The living room has a double sofabed and TV/VCR, table and chairs, and kitchenette.
This suite contains the original bath in the house and features a tub on legs, stenciled to match the wall paper, and antique marble sink.
Wicklow Suite
 At the top of the house, and well worth the climb, sits this beautiful suite. The master bedroom has a king size bed and wicker and oak furnishings. From this room, you are witness to a spectacular Cape May ocean view.
The adjoining bedroom features a double brass and iron bed and dark oak furnishings. It is a very cozy room.
The living room has a gas fireplace, TV/VCR, table and chairs for dining, as well as a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, and beautiful ocean view.
Bantry Cottage
 The Bantry Cottage is our quaint carriage house. The first floor, completely open, contains a living room with a TV and VCR, dining area, and kitchen.
Upstairs, a lovely bedroom with king size bed, fireplace, and reading area invite you to relax. Sliding doors open to a private deck with awning. A luxury bath with oversized Jacuzzi completes the scene for a perfect honeymoon or romantic getaway.
The Donegal Guest Room
 One of our best kept secrets is the Donegal Guest Room. This charming hideaway under the rafters has a private bath and tv, but no kitchenette. You'll feel like you're far, far away in this hideaway. A full breakfast is included in the rate.

Minimum Stay Requirements: 3-night minimum July and August; 2-night minimum week-ends Cancellation: In the event of cancellation, change of dates, or shortened stay of a confirmed reservation, deposit will be refunded less a $25.00 service charge as long as 14-days notice is provided. If cancellation is made within fourteen days of arrival, the deposit less service charge will be refunded only if the accommodation is rebooked for the entire length of intended stay. Historic Interest |
The inn was built in 1869 as a private summer cottage for John and Charlotte McIlvaine of Philadelphia. The architecture of the Inn was changed mid-construction from Queen Anne Victorian style to Colonial Revival Shingle style. Many of the original features of the Inn remain intact such as transitional electric fixtures which were originally lit by gas. The chimney staircase is a unique feature of the house.
