Description
Circa 1877. This colonial salt-box home is located on seven acres in the White Mountains National Forest with the Appalachian Trail passing through part of the property. Rooms are decorated in a fresh country style with quilts and Priscilla curtains. There's a separate suite in the "barn" with fireplace, upstairs bedroom and a downstairs living room with views of the pond, waterfall and garden from its many windows. In winter, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling are popular activities. In summer and fall, guests enjoy canoeing and fishing or simply hiking along the property to enjoy the golden oaks, birches, and red and orange maple foliage. Breakfast usually features freshly picked berries in season, homemade breads and dishes to accommodate a lavish pouring of local maple syrup.
