Description
Circa 1790. In its early days, this inn served as a farmhouse. By the late 1870s, it was serving guests as a summer resort. Its tradition of hospitality continues today with relaxing guest rooms, which offer lake or wooded views. The five-acre grounds face Pleasant Lake, which has a private beach. Guests may enjoy the lake on their own rowboat or canoe, but the innkeepers will lend theirs if requested. Meander over wooded trails or take a stroll around New London. Innkeeper and Culinary Institute of America graduate Brian MacKenzie prepares the inn's five-course, prix fixe dinners.
This property has been featured in Country Inns Magazine, James Beard Dinner, Yankee Magazine Travel Guide to New England. Location: Mountains and Waterfront.
