Sitting on more than five acres at the entrance to the Mount Washington Valley, enjoy looking at the peaks of Mt. Madison, Mt. Adams and the crystal-clear waters of Reflection Pond just outside the door. Relax with afternoon beverages and snacks on the wraparound porch surrounded by colorful flowers. Guest bedrooms are named after local birds and two deluxe suites with whirlpool tubs feature fluffy terrycloth robes, scented bath products and handmade quilts. Savor a hearty breakfast of orange juice, fresh fruit, meat selection and an entrée like the popular Cinnamon French Toast in the Hummingbird Dining Room. Hike, canoe, bike, ski or shop. An antique dresser, vanity desk and settee also grace the bedroom. The Eastern Phoebe Suite Offers views of Reflection Pond, the Androscoggin River and Shelburne's Grand Falls in the Mahoosic Range. Decorated in blue and white with a mahogany sleigh bed and handmade wall quilt in the bedroom. The Barn Swallow Suite Sits on the Presidential Range side of the house. Decorated in shades of warm red with a Queen-size iron canopy bed in the bedroom and a handmade bear quilt over the bed. The Northern Mocking Bird Suite Sits on the Reflection Pond side of the house. It is decorated in shades of green with 2 double-size beds in the bedroom. A bear quilt is hanging on the wall in the sitting room.
