Description
Circa 1900. This lakeside mountain lodge is located on the 45th parallel, midway between the equator and the North Pole. More than 160 acres surround the lodge, offering a bounty of activities. Guests can fish in a lake stocked with trout and salmon, or they can fish at the river, which offers rainbow and brown trout. The surrounding area also provides opportunities for hunters. Birdwatchers can enjoy gazing at dozens of different species. The Glen provides stunning views of the mountains and First Connecticut Lake, as well as the vast expanse of forestland. The interior of the lodge features natural wood paneling and hardwood floors; rooms are decorated in a comfortable lodge style. In addition to the lodge rooms and suite, there are 10 cabins. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in the rates. The hosts have been welcoming guests for nearly 40 years.
