Description

Circa 1877. Archer House is a stunning historic hotel, featuring impressive French Second Empire architecture. The hotel has been serving guests for more than a century, and the most recent restorations including rebuilding the front portico, constructed by looking at old pictures of the hotel. Many rooms offer whirlpool or clawfoot tubs, and some offer a view of the Cannon River. Northfield has many attractions, its historical society museum is located in a former bank. It was at this bank that infamous Jesse James' criminal career came to an abrupt halt; his robbery attempt thwarted by local townsfolk.
