White oak, bird's-eye maple and cherry are among the fine woods selected by the home's builder, A. Charles Weiss, original publisher of the Duluth Herald. Located in the historic district, guests enjoy viewing a variety of historic homes as they walk three blocks to the boardwalk along Lake Superior and on to Canal Park and the downtown area for shopping and restaurants.
