Less than two blocks from a sandy beach, this Classical Revival inn offers many recreational opportunities for its guests, who may choose from bicycling, beach and pool swimming, basketball and tennis, among others. Historic Interest |
Built in 1925 by Abe and Ana Glassman, Glassman's was a full-service resort that served guests all meals in the dining room. Two of the original chandeliers from the dining room are still in use today. Steamships brought passengers from Chicago and Milwaukee for summer vacations in South Haven. The Inn's exterior appearance and the three acres still appear the same as when the Glassman's started in 1925. Now, however, the rooms have been updated with modern luxuries like whirlpool tubs and fireplaces.
