Circa 1869. Watch the sunrise over the water at this four-season inn with eleven acres of open land and apple orchards. The Victorian home was built in 1869 and recently renovated. Walk through the Hall of History, a 70-foot hallway showcasing a display of the inn’s heritage. Sleep on a four-poster bed in one of the guest bedrooms or suite. A hearty breakfast is included for the bed and breakfast guests. For more space and privacy a five-bedroom cabin overlooks East Traverse Bay with a full kitchen, dining room, grill and picnic area. The inn was built in 1869 as a 31-room hotel. Original owner also ran post office here from 1869-1889; second owner ran phone company from 1906-1926 and a stagecoach service starting in 1902. The third owners ran a restaurant from 1946-1972. Current owners are duplicating actual antiques from respective periods. Babe Ruth and Joe Louis appear on 1936 guest registers.
