Description

Circa 1851. As the former parsonage to the first Congregational Church (known as having the highest wooden steeple in the country), this white colonial inn is tucked behind a white picket fence on a quiet side of the village common. The boughs of an old apple tree shade a pleasant wicker-filled side veranda. Family heirlooms, 18th-century American antiques and Oriental rugs are set against polished maple and oak hardwood floors. An elegant afternoon tea is served graciously from the teacart in the parlor and includes freshly made sweets such as Victorian lace cookies and scones. Homemade breads accompany a full breakfast served on fine china in the candle-lit dining room. Walk to restaurants, galleries and shops. Stockbridge and Lenox are nearby, as is outlet shopping. One mile from exit 2 of Mass. Pike.

This property has been featured in Berkshire Eagle, Inns and Outs of Collecting.

Location: Mountains.
