Description
Circa 1901. Just off the village green in Falmouth's historic district, sits this turn-of-the-century Victorian and its adjacent guest house. The polished woodwork, stained-glass windows and collection of antiques tie the home to a romantic, bygone era. Some guest rooms have fireplaces and whirlpool tubs. Innkeeper Pat O'Connell prepares an opulent feast for the morning meal, which is served in traditional Victorian style, by candleight on tables set with fine china and crystal. Creamed eggs in puff pastry and chocolate-stuffed French toast are two of the reasons why the cuisine has been featured in Gourmet and Bon Appetit. Afternoon refreshments quell those before-dinner hunger pangs.
