Description

Circa 1927. Sitting in the midst of 33 peaceful and secluded wooded acres this statuesque 1927 European country estate is just minutes from Quabbin Reservoir. The local forests, known for their dramatic seasonal color changes, draw many leaf peepers to the inn. Furnished with antiques and Oriental carpets, guest bedrooms are inviting retreats. Stay in a suite with a sitting room and fireplace. Breakfast is a gourmet delight with fresh fruit, homemade cinnamon rolls, muffins, waffles with strawberries, peach-filled French toast and wild blueberry pancakes. High tea is available by arrangement. A full-service restaurant serves dinner Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Stroll through the colorful gardens and bird watch. Visit the Fisher Museum just three miles away at the 3,000-acre Harvard Forest.
