Circa 1864. A neighborhood landmark, this Second Empire-style mansion with a mansard roof is furnished with European antiques and a French country decor. Sip complimentary sherry or port by the fire in one of the common rooms. Guest bedrooms and suites are named after well-known poets and most feature whirlpool tubs, fireplaces and private entrances as well as a variety of amenities. In addition to the Main House and Carriage House rooms, a garden cottage and beach studio are also available. The inn is famous for Jurgen's homemade breakfasts that combine classic American with German bounty.
