Circa 1930. For a relaxing retreat from the stress of city life only two hours from Washington, D.C., these Early American cottages span 25 acres on a beach overlooking the Potomac River and bordered by the Patuxent River and Chesapeake Bay. Choose from several one-bedroom cottages. A two bedroom includes a nursery with a crib. Larger groups and families may stay in a three or five bedroom with a washer and dryer. A six-bedroom cottage features huge living areas and a screened porch on water's edge. All have heat and air conditioning, bathrooms, cable TV and fully equipped kitchens. Linens are not provided. Camp sites with a fire pit and picnic table are available for tents. Pets are not allowed. Enjoy water sports, fishing and crabbing. St. Mary's County, one of the first British settlements in the Americas, boasts many historical attractions.
