Description
Circa 1898. This coastal country farm inn is situated near Acadia National Park. Naturalists can observe rare birds and other wildlife in an unspoiled setting. Seven spacious bedrooms are spread over three floors. Four of the bedrooms have ocean views; a fifth overlooks a freshwater pond behind the house. During winter, guests can ice skate on the pond, while in summer it is used for swimming. Guests enjoy a full country breakfast that might include a sampling of smoked seafood prepared in the innkeeper's own smokehouse. Your breakfast will be cooked by Carl, who has been an executive chef for more than 20 years. In 2004 he was voted for the second time "Chef of the Year" by the Maine chapter of the American Culinary Federation.
