Description

Circa 1790. Experience a slower pace while staying at this 200-year-old, 217-acre working farm in the western mountain foothills of Sumner, Maine. Morrill Farm Bed & Breakfast is near the popular hiking spots of Speckle and Bald Mountains. Visit the B&B's barn animals and stroll the nature trails that are perfect for seasonal snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Go fishing or ice skating on the Nezinscot River that runs through the grounds. An upright piano and Victrola highlight the living room. Second-floor guest bedrooms feature robes, air-dried sheets in the summer and flannel sets in the winter. A bountiful breakfast is served in the old-fashioned rustic kitchen with a slate sink, wood cookstove, water pump and ice box. The Freeport outlet stores and LL Bean are a 90-minute drive.
