Description
The Harbor View Inn is a recently restored New England cape situated on a rise overlooking the twin villages of Newcastle and Damariscotta and just down the River Road from Boothbay Harbor, 20 minutes away. Two of the three guest rooms have their own private deck and fireplace. Innkeeper Joe McEntee was the chef and manager of several Philadelphia restaurants before he purchased the inn. Breakfasts include fresh orange juice, a fresh fruit plate, scrambled eggs, pancakes, mushrooms, ham, roasted potatoes, broiled tomatoes, homemade ginger-peach muffins, coffee and tea. On sunny mornings have your breakfast served on the spacious deck that provides views of the harbor. Shops, art galleries, restaurants and antique dealers are a short walk away. Guests can drive to Pemaquid to photograph the lighthouse and fort, or visit New Harbor for lobsters or cruises to Monhegan Island.
