Circa 1881. "A retreat from the everyday" is the slogan here, and it is not hard to see why. Hospitality is generous at this Victorian inn, originally built for the first rector of St. Saviour’s Episcopal Church. Sitting beside the living room fireplace or on the veranda is a relaxing way to enjoy afternoon refreshments. Find a tray of hot beverages placed near guest bedrooms every morning, before savoring a gourmet breakfast on the enclosed porch. Hammocks beckon nappers, and the lawn is ready for croquet. Cadillac Mountain Suite

This air conditioned suite is the largest room, featuring 10-foot ceilings and a King-size canopy bed. The private sitting room has a wicker chair, an upholstered armchair and a wicker table. The full bath includes a clawfoot tub/shower combination.

Somes Sound Suite

This air conditioned suite provides a very bright bedroom with a King-size canopy bed. The private sitting room contains wicker chairs, a table and a daybed. The full bath includes a clawfoot tub/shower combination.

St. Sauveur Mountain

Curl up with a good book in a wicker armchair in front of the wood-burning fireplace. This large room has a Queen-size canopy bed and a full tub/shower bath and is air conditioned.

Frenchman Bay

Enjoy this very large room's wood-burning fireplace from cozy armchairs or from the King-size lace canopy bed. The spacious shower bath has a large shower and the room is air conditioned.

Bass Harbor Head

Relax in a King-size canopy bed. Enjoy a wood burning fireplace from a cozy settee under a lazy ceiling fan. The good-size bath has a modern shower. The room is air conditioned.

Cranberry Isles

The Starr

Sand Point

This bright airy room features a Queen-size brass bed, a sitting area with two wicker chairs beyond which are French doors leading to a private balcony. The small bath contains the shower and toilet; the sink and vanity are in the bedroom.

Hulls Cove

This romantic room provides a King-size canopy bed, a sitting area with two wicker chairs beyond which are French doors leading to a private balcony. The full bath has a clawfoot tub/shower combination.

Otter Cliffs Suite

This cozy suite provides guests with both a private balcony and a private sitting room. The air conditioned bedroom has a Queen-size canopy bed; the sitting room contains comfortable wicker chairs, a table and a bookcase. The large shower bath has a spacious modern stall shower.

Carriage House

The Carriage House has two stories and each floor is occupied by a two-bedroom suite. One bedroom has Queen-size, the other with King-size bed, also includes a private living room and a shower bath with a modern stall shower. The living room includes a TV and VCR and DVD players. These suites can be rented as either one or two bedroom suites and are air conditioned. Not available during the winter.
