Gracing the Lower Garden District in an historic area near the French Quarter, Terrell House is a grand three-story Italianate stucco-over-brick antebellum mansion in New Orleans, Louisiana. Relax in elegance and comfort on a porch, in the den or double parlors with period English and American antiques. Air-conditioned guest bedrooms with generous upscale amenities in the main house and the adjacent carriage house look out or open onto the courtyard with lush gardens, fountains and shaded sitting areas. The carriage house is furnished with locally handcrafted cypress furniture. Linger over a satisfying breakfast that reflects warm southern hospitality before exploring the popular sites of the city.

Gold Room

Located on the 2nd floor at the top of the stairs in the main house, this spacious room with silk draperies, Oriental Rug, marble fireplace, antique furniture, and private slate bathroom is the largest and most formal bedroom in the main house. Two floor to ceiling windows open onto a private gallery overlooking the courtyard. The antique French armoire houses cable television, closet space, pillows, shelving, hairdryer, iron and makeup mirror. A coffee maker, bottled water, soft drinks, and robes are provided in the room. Room has individual central heat and A/C, ceiling fan, and wireless internet.

 

ROOM 1 (3rd floor)

Queen bed, headboard and armoire are made from old cypress. The armoire houses cable tv, closet space, pillows, shelving, hairdryer, iron and makeup mirror. A coffee maker, bottled water, soft drinks, and robes are provided in the room. Room has a private bath with a shower, central heat and A/C, and wireless internet.

ROOM 2 (3rd floor)

Room has 2 antique pine twin beds, chest, and cypress armoire that houses cable tv, closet space, pillows, shelving, hairdryer, iron and makeup mirror. A coffee maker, bottled water, soft drinks, and robes are provided in the room. Room has a private bath with a shower, central heat and A/C, and wireless internet.

YELLOW ROOM

Furnished with a queen bed with an antique bead board headboard and large cypress armoire which houses cable tv, closet space, pillows, shelving, hairdryer, iron and makeup mirror. A coffee maker, bottled water, soft drinks, and robes are provided in the room. Room has a private bath with a shower in the tub, individual central heat and A/C, ceiling fan, wireless internet, and opens onto the courtyard.

RED ROOM

Furnished with a queen bed with headboard made from an antique cypress door. Old louvered shutters have been converted into doors for the armoire which houses cable tv, closet space, pillows, shelving, hairdryer, iron and makeup mirror. A coffee maker, bottled water, soft drinks, and robes are provided in the room. Room has a private bath with a shower in the tub, individual central heat and A/C, ceiling fan, wireless internet, and opens onto the courtyard.

BLUE ROOM

Furnished with a queen bed with headboard made from old cypress and a large armoire which houses cable tv, closet space, pillows, shelving, hairdryer, iron and makeup mirror. A coffee maker, bottled water, soft drinks, and robes are provided in the room. Room has a private bath with a shower in the tub, individual central heat and A/C, ceiling fan, wireless internet, and opens onto a gallery overlooking the courtyard.

WHITE ROOM

Furnished with 2 creamy white antique iron beds from a local orphanage. Large armoire is painted in creams and pale celadon. It houses cable tv, closet space, pillows, shelving, hairdryer, iron and makeup mirror. A coffee maker, bottled water, soft drinks, and robes are provided in the room. Room has a private bath with a shower in the tub, individual central heat and A/C, ceiling fan, wireless internet, and opens onto a gallery overlooking the courtyard.
