Description

Circa 1838. In a quaint town, this luxurious 1838 Greek Revival house is located in the heart of the Historic Landmark District. Recently restored and tastefully renovated, this B&B captures the spirit of an earlier time. Many of the fine antiques are lovingly refinished heirlooms that have been in the home for more than a century. Romantic guest bedrooms with elegant window dressings boast whirlpool baths, plush terry robes, piped-in music and carafes of cream sherry, to name a few of the lavish amenities. After indulging in early morning coffee, enter the formal dining room with a Victorian table set with fine china, silver and crystal accented by candelabras. Breakfast may include Creole baked eggs with cheese grits and strawberry bread or French toast sundaes.

This property has been featured in Southern Living, Southern Lady Magazine, Gourmet Magazine, D Magazine, PBS series - "A Taste of Louisiana", Chef John Folse's "Hot Beignets & Warm Boudoirs" cookbook.
