Description

Adorning the historic Faubourg Marigny neighborhood in New Orleans, Louisiana, the Elysian Guest House is five blocks from the famous French Quarter and the Mississippi River. Pet-friendly accommodations include spacious guest suites and studios. Several may be adjoined for families or groups traveling together. The rooms offer different combinations of amenities that include black-out privacy curtains, mini kitchenette and a porch. Located between the two landscaped main and rear courtyards is a large hot tub in a redwood cabana for total relaxation after an active day enjoying the local sites and attractions.

I started coming to New Orleans about 12 years ago. The City captured my heart so much that I moved in November, 2005. Now I live here and really like it a lot, it's hard to believe one of my dreams has come true - I'm an Innkeeper! I also believe that everyone should make it to New Orlean's Mardi Gras at least once in their life.

Room Detail

River Suite

This lovely suite faces Elysian Fields Ave. You walk into the living room which has a sofa bed, TV, phone and other living room furnishings. Then you proceed to walk into the bedroom which has a queen poster bed, another TV, small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, full closet and other bedroom furnishings as well as a private bathroom. Both the living and bedrooms have ceiling fans and private entrances and sleeps up to four people.

Porch Suite

This is our personal favorite Suite. This suite is within the compound in that you would access it through the common gate and walk up a small flight of stairs and you are on the porch. The porch has a two person swing. Once inside the suite and in the living room you would find a small fridge, TV, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dinning table, ceiling fan and other living furnishing including a fold out futon (but off the floor) bed. This suite also has a two year old Piano (do you play?) To the left is an out-cove type bathroom, very nice. Then you would proceed to the bedroom and it has a king size bed, another TV, phone, and other bedroom furnishing. Both the living and bedrooms have ceiling fans. All suites and studios have private entrances and this room sleeps up to four people.

Garden Suite

Garden Suite is our largest Suite and has a Full Kitchen. The Garden Suite is located in the rear of the complex and is our most private. When you walk into the living room there is a futon (off the floor) bed and is very comfortable, a Piano, do you play? Living room has a TV, DVD and other living room furnishings. The bedroom has a queen size poster bed, phone, another color cabled TV and other bedroom furnishing. There is a semi private French door that would provide privacy for two couples. The Garden Suite has a Full Kitchen with an oven, stove, microwave, large fridge, toaster and coffee make and is fully equipped with cooking utensils. The Garden Suite is the closest to the large hot tub. The Garden Suite has a sound proof door that can be unlocked to open into the Mid City to create a much larger suite that sleep up to seven people.

Mid City Studio

This studio has a large walk in entrance that leads to the private bathroom. Bedroom has a queen size poster bed and a twin sofa-bed. This is a very nice room. Mid City also includes color TV, ceiling fan, sofa-twin bed, chair, phone, small fridge, toaster, and a coffee maker. All suites and studios have private entrances. The Mid City has a sound proof door that can be unlocked to open into the Garden Suite to create a much larger suite that sleep up to seven people.

Avenue Studio

The Avenue Studio faces Elysian Fields Ave. and is a large studio with a King-size bed and a daybed that sleep up to three people. Also has a TV/DVD, phone, larger fridge, dining table, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker and other bedroom furnishings. Private entrance and bathroom.

Policies	Minimum Stay Requirements: Two nights for off season, four night for high season Cancellation: Standard Deposit Policy: A deposit equal to one-night's stay or 25%, whichever is greater, will be charged to your card. If you cancel this reservation by 5:00 PM Central Time up to 14 days before your check-in date, your deposit will be refunded minus a $25.00 cancellation fee. If you cancel after that time, your deposit will not be refunded. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before arrival, you are responsible for the entire stay. No credit for late arrival or early departure. "Special Event" Deposit Policy: (Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, July 4th/Essence Fest, major sport events, and large conventions). A 50% deposit is required, and the remaining balance is due 30 days before arrival. Deposit and balance payments are non-refundable, unless room is rented to other guests. Pets: Pets Allowed, Innkeepers pets on premises, Small Dog only and no cats. Smoking: Limited.
