Circa 1939. Situated on 100 wooded acres, just under one hour from Chicago, this English country inn overlooks a private lake. Guests can see Canadian geese and ducks on the lake and surrounding area. Rooms are decorated in 18th-century English, Shaker and French-country styles. Some of the rooms feature fireplaces, Jacuzzi and poster beds. Complimentary snacks, soft drinks, coffee and tea are available throughout the day. Strains of Mozart or Handel add to the ambiance.
