Description
Circa 1854. Once the home for the United Daughters of the Confederacy, this 1830 inn is located in historic Savannah across the street from a building where ammunition was stored during the Civil War. Step through the Georgia peach marble entryway onto rich parquet floors. The inn has a large ballroom with three crystal chandeliers. It is decorated throughout with Old South décor including Chippendale furniture. Its three guest rooms, the Jefferson Davis, the Robert E. Lee and the General Jackson, all have 42-inch plasma TVs and include such amenities as crystal chandeliers, pedestal sinks and four-poster beds. Wake up to a meal of juice, fresh fruit, coffee cake, French toast and the like before relaxing at home in the grandeur of the Old South, walking in to town for some shopping, or driving to nearby historic sites.
