Eden House

Description

Circa 1924. Once a hot spot for writers, intellectuals and European travelers, this Art Deco hotel was improved by innkeeper Mike Eden. He added a 10-person Jacuzzi, patios, gazebos, an elevated sun deck, waterfalls and hammocks. Ceiling fans and wicker furniture reflect the tropical atmosphere found in each guest bedroom. The Goldie Hawn movie, "Criss Cross" was filmed here. Enjoy cold refreshments upon arrival and a complimentary happy hour. Cafe Med, the inn's restaurant, offers island cuisine with a Mediterranean twist. Try the popular Linguine Fruit DiMare, linguine tossed with scallops, shrimp, mussels, clams, olive oil, garlic, fresh tomato, crushed red pepper and Italian parsley. Smoking is allowed outside only.

Inkeepers Notes

The Eden House is a unique inn because 1) We are smoke free (smoking is permitted out of doors), 2) We are gay and chidren friendly, 3) We have a "quiet time" from 10 PM until 10 AM and 4) We do not accept "spring breakers." The Eden House has followed four basic principles since 1975- 1) The beds and pillows have to be comfortable, 2) The inn has to be clean, 3) We give our guests good value and 4) The staff has to be friendly and helpful.
