DescriptionCirca 1900. La Mer Hotel and Dewey House are the only oceanfront, Four Diamond bed & breakfasts in Key West. The Dewey House is the original home of philosopher and educator John Dewey. Both restored Victorians are located in historic Old Town on famous Duval Street, and both have high ceilings, private balconies, verandas and views of the ocean and the tropical gardens on site. The Dewey House has Jacuzzi tubs and French doors. Guests of both inns may use the swimming pool located at the Dewey House. The inns serve a scrumptious continental breakfast with fresh breads, coffee cakes, croissants and English muffins in the oceanfront gathering place.
