Circa 1902. Embassy Circle Guest House is now an elegant urban bed and breakfast after a three and a half-year painstaking renovation and restoration. It is located along Embassy Row where the popular neighborhoods of Dupont Circle, Sheridan/Kalorama, Georgetown and Downtown Washington, DC intersect. Original paintings, Persian carpets and antiques adorn the conversation-friendly public rooms. Spacious guest bedrooms are pleasant retreats. Enjoy a generous continental-plus breakfast with pastries, bagels, cereals, cheese, yogurt and the signature fresh fruit salad. A guest laptop computer is available. This large second floor bedroom has a King-size bed, French armchairs and a meditative feeling that is enhanced by the sunlight shining through the cabernet-colored glass lamps. With its decorative fireplace, writing desk and curved-front gentleman’s chest, this room is perfect for work or quiet reflection. The Persian carpet is a beautiful antique ivory Esfahan.

Room 123 – Electric Blue Tabriz

This large, light-flooded second-floor bedroom has a massive King-size spindle bed and two huge windows. With its tall Eastlake wall mirror, antique pine desk and two wonderful red and gold wing chairs, this room is also perfect for work or relaxation. The antique Persian carpet is an unusual and stunning electric blue Tabriz.

This spacious sunny room on the second floor has a King-size four-poster bed, four huge windows and a large decorative fireplace. With a pair of comfortable French armchairs, a wonderful Louis Philippe drop-leaf writing table and an old English dresser, this room is perfect for work or relaxation. The antique Persian carpet is a beautiful pearl Gazvin.

This spacious lower level room with two large windows looking out into the front garden, has a black lacquered Queen-size panel bed, elaborate wing chair, a great writing desk, a lacquered dresser and a pair of side-chairs. The floor is covered with deep berry Kashan carpets with bright highlights of coral and yellow.

Room 111 – Red Kashan

This large and slightly whimsical first floor room has a Queen-size mahogany sleigh bed, English armoire, loveseat and chair and writing desk. The still-life on the wall is by Brazilian friend and artist Beto Rossi. The floor of this room is covered with a large antique Kashan carpet in deep red with bright blue, yellow and green flowers.

Room 122 – Rose Tabriz

This spacious second floor room has a Queen-size mahogany sleigh bed, a pair of comfortable armchairs and a French marqueterie writing table that extends to provide a generous work surface. This room is a great place to write a journal, a collection of poetry, or your first novel. A rose Tabriz carpet with large flowers of bronze and ivory covers the floor.

Room 133 - Khaki Meshkabad

This bright, cozy third floor room is the smallest room in the house. A Queen-size spindle bed in cherry and ebony woods sets the color palette. A light elm writing desk, a mahogany dresser and a carved oak armoire continue the theme of contrasting wood tones. The carpet in this room is an ivory Meshkabad with lovely dark blue and coral stylized flowers.

The handsome hand-colored Gould hummingbird prints on the walls match the beautiful soft tones of the coral and blue Mahal carpet that covers the floor.
