Circa 1900. It took 150 years for one of the Saketts to finally build on the land given them in 1717. The manor they built was remodeled on a grand scale at the turn-of-the-century under architect Sanford White. In the '40s, the house became a tourist home and received visitors for many years. Renovated recently, it now offers spacious rooms decorated in a traditional, country inn style.
