Description
Circa 1886. In the National Register, this three-story Italianate Victorian offers dormers, bay windows, a porch and an unusual historic water tower. Breakfast is provided in the redwood paneled ballroom on the top floor and includes baked goods, asparagus quiche or a variety of other dishes created by your Swedish hostess. Guest rooms are decorated in the theme of a different country and include some furnishings original to the house as well as hand-painted tiles, fireplaces and stained glass. From the water tower, guests enjoy expansive ocean views and often spot whales. The innkeepers are musicians, Ted plays the trombone and Eva plays the bassoon. Ask for directions to MacKerricher State Park, which juts into the ocean and allows close up views of harbor seals or the locals' favorite, Glass Beach.
This property has been featured in New York Times, Sunset Magazine. Location: Ocean Community.
