Description

Circa 1898. Gold rush history is prominent throughout this renovated 1898 Queen Anne Victorian mansion in the Sierra Foothills. The antique staircase and first-floor hallways of the main house contain gold mine memorabilia relating to the mansion. Relax in the parlor, on a wraparound porch or deck. A paved stone waterfall area is near a 100-year-old oak tree along with a terraced garden patio. Enjoy the hospitality of a country inn and the service of a small hotel. Elegant guest bedrooms feature an assortment of amenities to choose from. Stay in the honeymoon suite with a heart-shaped Jacuzzi for two, private entrance and city view, or a room with a clawfoot tub and skylights. Read the morning paper before breakfast served on vintage china on lace tablecloths.

This property has been featured in Sierra Heritage Magazine, Wedding Sites & Services Magazine, multiple independent films.

Location: City/Urban and Historic Downtown Auburn.

Inkeepers Notes

The Powers Mansion is a wonderful 107-year-old Victorian home that is located in the heart of Gold Country. We have 10 gracious guest rooms, all with private baths and separate entrances. The lakes and rivers of the Sierra Foothills offer facilities for fishing, gold-panning and every other water sport. Hiking, horseback riding, skiing and golf are also nearby. Gold Country events are ongoing throughout the year. We want our guests to experience the old-fashioned hospitality, personal attention and comfort that just can't be found at a hotel. Our guests can relax and enjoy all the charm and history of a small town and the elegance of our grand Victorian home.
