Description

Circa 1860. Located in Napa's historic district, this shuttered Gothic Revival is a city landmark and one of the oldest homes in the valley. Common rooms feature antique Victorian furnishings, hardwood floors and a sweeping spindled staircase. A hand-painted flower mural, white wicker and sleigh bed are just a few of the romantic touches featured in the five guest rooms located in the original house. Besides privacy, the Randolph and Laurel cottages each offer two separate, but adjoining rooms decorated in antiques, fireplaces and whirlpool tubs for two. The Arbor Cottage overlooks a semi-private stone patio and is complete with a fireplace, kitchenette, two-person walk-in shower and whirlpool tub for two. Breakfast begins with freshly ground coffee, tea and juice, followed by a hot entree such as peach and strawberry French toast or Mexican quiche served with fresh salsa. Wine tasting, shopping, bicycling and golf are nearby.

Location: Wine country.

Inkeepers Notes

The Inn on Randolph offers a wide range of appealing accommodation options, from antique filled rooms in the 1860 Victorian to private bungalows brimming with luxurious amenities. Regardless of the choice, guests will be treated to stylish and comfortable surroundings, a great night’s sleep and attentive, personal service. Visitors choosing one of the Main House "Four Seasons" rooms can expect the classic Bed & Breakfast experience - no television, but lots of board games, books, a baby grand piano and quiet areas for conversation. The popular choice for those seeking additional privacy and the highest level of luxury appointments is one of three cottages. With fireplaces, whirlpool tubs-for-two, intimate garden areas and even a private breakfast delivered to you, cottages offer an antidote to stress. Surrounding the restored buildings is one-half acre of glorious perennial gardens and inviting outdoor sitting areas. Although guests are tempted to remain on the property, a wealth of wonderful opportunities await nearby, many a short stroll or trolley ride away. On hand to assist guests in selecting just the right activity for the perfect getaway is the inn’s owner, a transplanted Southerner who has dedicated the last ten years to uncovering the best Napa Valley has to offer.
