Circa 1898. Spend enchanted nights in this "Princess Anne" Victorian inn located on the historic Main Street of Old Town, Half Moon Bay. Its lush, aromatic English flower and herb garden with a bubbling fountain provides a perfect backdrop for casual conversations or romantic tete-a-tetes. Just 28 miles from San Francisco and less than one hour from San Jose and the Silicon Valley, the inn is within walking distance of a crescent-shaped beach, art galleries, shops and fine dining. Furnished in antiques and adorned with the innkeeper's art collection, it offers seven freshly decorated guest rooms, each with a queen bed and hypoallergenic featherbed and down comforter. Two rooms have both Jacuzzis and fireplaces. Savor the inn's tantalizing full breakfast before a day of relaxing or sightseeing.

Cancellation: When cancellations are made within 14 days of scheduled arrival, guest is responsible for the full amount of the scheduled stay, unless we are able to re-rent the room(s). Please note that certain holidays, holiday periods, and special events may have different cancellation requirements.

Historic Interest

Built in 1898, Old Thyme Inn was the home of the Gilcrest family, prominent in early Half Moon Bay life. George Gilcrest was principal of the local school and the town's druggist.

Romantic Interest

The Inn's seven guest rooms (all with private bath) take their names from our garden— the Garden, Thyme, Rosemary, Mint, Lavender, Chamomile and Oregano rooms. Each is uniquely decorated with lovely antiques, sumptuous beds with crisp all-cotton linens, original fine art and fresh cut flowers. Cozy fireplaces and/or luxurious whirlpool tubs-for-two are available. All rooms offer cable TV with VCR and feature Essentiel Elements spa amenities.
