Circa 1884. Situated above historic downtown Truckee, this white farmhouse Victorian framed by a white picket fence offers visitors a panoramic view of mountains and the town. A hot tub, especially inviting during sunsets and on starry nights, is popular with guests. Inside, the interiors are decorated in a Southwestern decor and offer a touch of European elegance. Guest rooms feature log furnishings. Breakfast specialties include eggs a la Hania, Polish-style potato pancakes and crepes with cinnamon apple served in the dining area. In the afternoon, complimentary wine is offered from a rustic bar in front of the wood stove. Restaurants are just downhill, and factory stores as well as the old jail are nearby.
